Industry Accreditations & memberships
Each UZIN UTZ brand is dedicated to the flooring industry and supporting the respective trade associations. In addition to mutually beneficial relationships and collaboration, we believe in actively promoting the industry and associations involved in its development.
These associations help preside over the sector's shared interests and training initiatives, acting as a voice for the industry. UZIN UTZ is actively involved through membership, sponsorship and support.
Contract Flooring Association (CFA)
The CFA supports the UK contract flooring industry and its members in developing sustainable, productive businesses that supply and install commercial floor coverings. The CFA provide business services and information that promotes industry standards, professionalism, quality, safety, and training.
The CFA council consists of representatives from various types of companies within its membership. Matthew Brown, Managing Director of UZIN UTZ UK Ltd., is a CFA council member.
National Institute of Carpet and Floorlayers (NICF)
The NICF promotes excellence in carpet and floor fitting, assuring the quality of work to the public. The NICF is a highly respected organisation within the flooring industry that supports the skills of the flooring trade and runs events such as the Floorcovering Fitter of the Year competition.
Flooring Industry Training Association (FITA)
FITA was co-founded by the Contract Flooring Association (CFA) and the National Institute of Carpet & Floorlayers (NICF) to provide specialist training for floor covering installations. FITA is an independent, not-for-profit organisation with two specialist training centres at Loughborough and Kirkcaldy.
Resin Flooring Association (FeRFA)
FeRFA, the Resin Flooring Association, is a not-for-profit organisation representing the leading manufacturers, specialist contractors and associated companies involved in industrial and commercial resin flooring, screeding and surface preparation.
Association for Emission-controlled Installation Materials (GEV)
The main task of GEV is promoting consumer, worker and environmental protection for flooring installation products. The GEV established the EMICODE certification system, which classifies the emissions of products. The EMICODE is now an internationally recognised safety and indoor emissions accolade. UZIN UTZ has several employees on the GEV board, including Stefan Neuberger, Chairman of the Board, Dr. Norbert Arnold, and Dr. Johannis Tsalos.
RIBA CPD Providers Network
The RIBA CPD Providers Network comprises manufacturers, training companies and advisory organisations that provide Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to architects and other specifiers. RIBA-approved CPD material is rigorously assessed by the Royal Insitute of British Architects (RIBA) and is worth double CPD points to RIBA Chartered Architects.
