Join us for two days of practical training, laying the foundation for a successful flooring installation and informed system choices.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

Day 1:

  • Installation of sub-floor e.g. concrete without structural membrane, sand & cement screed with structural membrane, and calcium sulphate screed.
  • Sub-floor identification
  • Removal of floor covering using uplifting equipment 
  • Contamination elimination with the use of sanders & grinders
  • Screed testing – BRE test, scratch testing, carbide testing
  • Moisture testing & result logging
  • DPM solutions

Day 2:

  • Dealing with calcium sulphates
  • Priming types & methods of application
  • Application of smoothing and levelling compounds to different substrates
  • Adhesive selection & installation of floor coverings
  • Dry adhesive & tape application
  • Overview of WOLFF hand tools
